Space Rocket Crochet!

Crochet space rocket
I was shopping for a birthday gift (small children have the busiest social lives - I'm always relegated to mere chauffeur status) and bought a space rocket puzzle game. The pictures on the box inspired me to have a go creating a matching space rocket stuffed toy. :)

Alas, I am not up to writing the pattern out but I can vaguely tell you that the body is a magic circle with even increases and then even decreases, down to the base. The 3 fins (or whatever they are called) are triangle shapes. The window is a simple circle - a short chain, joined at the end and then crocheted round. The blaster things are magic loops, one increase in each st of the first row and then one dc row round to make sort of cup shapes and 4 strands of coloured yarn looped at the end like scarf tassels.

I used super chunky yarn and a 8 mm hook for the rocket body and dk yarn and a 3.5 mm hook for the rest. That just happened to be what I had in my stash, at the time! Perhaps it's not the most elegant rocket - or indeed terribly accurate either - but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. :)
